At Aratoca en Hilos we respect your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, for what purpose, and how you can exercise your rights, in accordance with Colombia's Law 1581 of 2012 and Decree 1074 of 2015.

This email address is also the designated channel for questions and complaints about personal data.
2. Data we collect
We only collect the data you give us voluntarily through the contact form: name, email address, phone number (optional) and the content of your message.
We also record the language you were browsing in and the submission date, so that we can reply appropriately.
We do not collect sensitive data, data from minors, or financial information.
3. Purposes of processing
We use your personal data solely to: respond to your enquiry or request; put you in touch with the artisans when you ask us to; keep an internal record of the communications we receive; and, if you expressly authorise it, tell you when the Taller Fique is published.
We do not use your data for third-party advertising and we never sell it.
4. Authorisation
By submitting the contact form you give prior, express and informed authorisation for your personal data to be processed for the purposes described in this policy.
You may revoke that authorisation at any time by writing to grasshopper.it.solutions@gmail.com, unless a legal or contractual duty requires us to retain the information.
5. Your rights as a data subject
Under article 8 of Law 1581 of 2012, as the data subject you have the right to: know, update and rectify your personal data; request proof of the authorisation you gave; be informed about how your data has been used; lodge complaints with the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce for breaches of the law; revoke your authorisation and request deletion of your data where no legal duty to retain it exists; and access free of charge the data that has been processed.
6. How to exercise your rights
Send your request to grasshopper.it.solutions@gmail.com stating your name, the contact details you gave us, and a clear description of what you are asking for.
Enquiries are handled within a maximum of ten (10) business days and complaints within a maximum of fifteen (15) business days, extendable as provided by law.
7. Data retention
We keep contact form messages for as long as they are needed to handle your request and to demonstrate compliance with our legal obligations.
Once they are no longer needed, we delete them securely.
8. Processors and international transfer
This site uses Google (Firebase) services to host the database, store files and protect against automated abuse. This means your data may be stored on servers located outside Colombia.
Google acts as a data processor and is bound by security standards and contractual clauses providing an adequate level of protection. We also use an email provider to deliver the form notifications to us.
9. Cookies and similar technologies
This site does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.
We use browser local storage solely to remember technical preferences, and Google's reCAPTCHA service to tell people apart from automated submissions on the contact form.
10. Information security
We apply reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect your data: encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access rules on the database, and authentication for the administration panel.
No system is entirely infallible, but we work to keep the risks to a minimum.
11. Validity and changes
This policy applies from its publication date and remains in force for as long as data processing continues.
Any substantial change will be published on this same page along with its update date.
